Shipping Policy
1.1. Geographic Scope of Shipping
1.1.1. Shipping:
- We currently ship products exclusively to locations where our shipping services are available.
1.1.2. Restricted Locations:
- We do not deliver to P.O. boxes, military bases (APO/FPO/DPO), or regions where courier services are unavailable.
2.2. Shipping Fees
2.2.1. Shipping Charges:
- Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on the following factors:
- Destination of the shipment
- Weight and dimensions of the package
- Total order value
2.2.2. What the Shipping Fee Covers:
- The shipping fee covers the cost of transporting your product(s) from The Indian Closet’s facilities to the address provided at checkout.
2.2.3. What the Shipping Fee Does Not Cover:
- The shipping fee does not include additional charges such as customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, or other levies imposed by local authorities in Canada or the USA.
2.3. Import Taxes and Duties
2.3.1. Customer’s Responsibility for Import Charges:
- All products shipped internationally from The Indian Closet are subject to import taxes, customs duties, and related charges as per the destination country’s laws and regulations.
2.3.2. Payment of Import Taxes:
- Customers are solely responsible for paying these additional charges directly to the relevant authorities or courier service at the time of delivery. Our shipping partner will contact you before delivery and provide a platform to facilitate the payment.
2.3.3. Failure to Pay Duties and Taxes:
- If a customer refuses to pay the required customs duties or import taxes, the package will be returned to The Indian Closet. In such cases:
- Both outbound and return shipping costs will be deducted from the refund.
- Any restocking fees (refer to Section 4.3) will also apply.
2.4. Delivery Timelines
2.4.1. Estimated Delivery Times Post Dispatch:
- USA: 5–10 business days.
- Canada: 7–12 business days.
2.4.2. Processing Time:
- Orders are processed within 2–5 business days of confirmation. Orders placed during peak seasons or promotional events may require additional processing time.
2.4.3. Customs Delays and Other Factors:
- Delivery timelines are approximate and may be affected by:
- Customs clearance procedures
- Local holidays
- Weather conditions
- Other unforeseen logistical challenges
Cancellation Policy
3.1. Cancellation Window
- Customers may cancel their order within 48 hours of placement by contacting The Indian Closet at support@theindiancloset.co.
- Orders cannot be canceled after the 48-hour window as most products are made-to-order or already processed for dispatch.
3.2. Cancellation Fees
3.2.1. A cancellation fee of up to 10% of the product value may apply for cancellations made after 24 hours but within the 48-hour window.
Example:
- If you cancel an order valued at USD $300 within 48 hours, a cancellation fee of USD $30 may be deducted from your refund.
